Demonstrations and Marches - A Face in the Crowd

Street photography for me is about observing and capturing the daily life of the streets, moments in time and the people who create these scenes.

I am drawn to demonstrations, marches and street events because they provide a perfect canvas for capturing these moments.

My presence at the numerous demonstrations I have attended in recent years in no way signifies my support for, or opposition to, the “cause”. I am there to photograph those who attend and to create a set of documentary images and capture the history of tomorrow.

I am always fascinated by the strength of feeling that can result in hundreds, sometimes thousands, of people taking to the streets to make their voices heard. This passion invariably leads to the emotions and stories that for me help make a documentary photo.
